York, PA - Andre Briscoe won the 11th annual Mr. NHS pageant by two votes Thursday evening at Northeastern High School, said Jen Gerhart, a civics teacher and co-adviser of the National Honor Society. "He got all dazzled up for us," she said, adding that he donned a tux. Briscoe and the first runner-up, Joey Gay, sang to one another. Briscoe sang Gavin DeGraw's "Not Over You," and Gay sang Adele's "Rumor Has It." The second runner-up was Scott Cheuvront.
Briscoe said he entered the competition because he's never won anything in his life.
The event raised $950 that will be donated to those in need in the district.
