CENTRAL YORK- Junior Cayla Clawson (Central York) has become a key member of the Grove City women's cross country team. She finished 25th out of 110 runners at the recent Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship with a 6K time of 25:07.0. And, last Friday, she finished third out of 32 runners at the Wooster Twilight Meet in Wooster, OH with a 5K time of 19:22.0.

"A couple of years ago, Cayla decided she wants to be a great distance runner so she went out, put the work in, and became one," coach Sean Severson said. "She has meant a lot to our team these past three seasons, but will be relied upon even more next season. We graduate 10 seniors and she will be one of the fastest and most experienced runners on the team."

Clawson's performance in the PAC helped the Wolverines capture their 24th straight PAC women's cross country championship.
