YORK SUBURBAN- Fifteen fourth-year German students at York Suburban High School will join a York JCC bus trip to the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., March 9, thanks to a $525 grant from the Central Pa. Holocaust Education Fund of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, modeled on a fund established in memory of Sidney Slotznick by his widow, Diana Slotznick.

German teacher Kathy Falatovich said: "My German IV students and I are very grateful for the opportunity. It is imperative that young adults see the exhibits and learn and understand the atrocities committed during the Holocaust so that they will not tolerate hate, prejudice and injustice toward others in their lifetime."

The bus trip is open to the general public.

What's next: Tickets are $35. For details, call Linda Seligson at the York JCC at 717-843-0918 or email lseligson@yorkjcc.org.
