All are welcome to share a meal and discuss the state of our youth after viewing the documentary "The Interrupters", which chronicles the lives of three Violence Interrupters who aim to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once employed.
MLK America's Sunday Supper is a national event sponsored by Rethink Church and Points of Light, which is inspired by the legacy of Dr. King to invite individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together to discuss issues that affect their communities, while highlighting the power that each individual has to make a difference.
Because of strong content in the documentary, it is suggested that individuals younger than 14 years old not attend the event.
If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Edquina Washington, director of community relations, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 717-849-2200.
