  • The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) will offer a free vaccine clinic for dogs and cats belonging to low-income Harrisburg residents from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Central Allison Hill Community Center, 1524 Walnut St., Harrisburg, PA. The pets must already be spayed or neutered. Appointments are suggested; walk-ins will be accepted as time allows. Rabies, distemper, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines will be offered, as well as dewormer medication. AVID microchipping will be available for a one-day special of $15, which includes the registration fee. Dogs must be on short leashes; no chains. Cats must be in secure carriers. No breeders. Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance provides free or low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries for Harrisburg City residents' animals with the CPAA Mobile Veterinary Van. Free vaccine clinics are held at various times during the year, by appointment only.     Spay Neuter Express
    Spay/Neuter Express - is a mobile program for CATS ONLY. Surgeries are performed by Keystone Mobile Veterinary Services , must be pre-arranged, and are by appointment only . To schedule, call 717-732-5377 and leave your name and phone number in mailbox No. 5. These clinics are offered approximately twice a month and are done while you wait. Vaccinations are available at the time of surgery during these events for an additional charge.

    Spay/neuter clinics will be offered at Jim Kreitzer's Automotive Service, 2385 Wertz Lane, Enola, PA, on the following Saturdays in 2010: March 13 and 27; April 10 and 24; May 8 and 22; June 12 and 19; July 10 and 24; Aug. 14 and 28; Sept. 11 and 25; Oct. 9 and 23; Nov. 6 and 13; and Dec. 11.
