Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Route 30 that sent two people to the hospital Monday.

The 12:17 p.m. crash in Paradise Township, east of Abbottstown, closed the road for a short time.

Joyce Gill, 56, of Sunset Drive, Gettysburg, was headed west in a 2000 Chevy Blazer when it crossed into the eastbound lane of traffic near Beaver Creek Road, according to a news release from Northern York County Regional Police.

The vehicle crashed into a 2007 Freightliner Business Class box truck driven by Richard Megonnell, 64, of Stoney Creek Drive, Dauphin, police said. The truck is owned by Quaker City Paper in York.

Both drivers were taken to York Hospital by ambulance, police said. A hospital spokeswoman was unable to provide details of either patients' condition.
