Lotus Diner, a family-friendly restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, will open sometime between mid-to-late February at the site of the old McDonald's restaurant, 930 Carlisle Road, West Manchester Township, its owner said Tuesday.

The diner, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 24 hours on weekends, will serve Greek, Italian and Pennsylvania Dutch dishes and seat about 140 people, owner Ayman Mohieldin said.

The diner will not serve alcohol, Mohieldin said.

It will likely offer special prices or a special menu for students of the neighboring West York High School and for people who attend the neighboring Zion United Methodist Church, Mohieldin said.

McDonald's closed its 32-year-old restaurant at 930 Carlisle Road in 2006 and moved about a mile down the street to the York Crossing Business Park.
