TimBar Packaging & Display is a designer and manufacturer of corrugated shipping containers, retail packaging and point of purchase displays. It can also offer protective packing inserts, packaging supplies and fulfillment services. The company markets its products to manufacturers, wholesalers and product distributors. While the corrugated industry remained very nearly flat, TimBar saw a 5% growth in revenue. A probable reason for this growth is the company's steadfast dedication to remaining customer-centric. The instillation of 3 Automatan Robotic Prefeeders at the New Oxford facility utilizes less floor space than conventional prefeeders. Additionally, these machines helps increase productivity and reduce injury risks associated wit the strenuous and repetitive task of pre-feeding. Administrative offices were also remodeled to provide a more comfortable and productive workspace.
On March 1st of this year, the Global Association for Marketing at Retail announced the winners of its 54th annual Outstanding Marketing at Retail Achievement Awards Competition. Out of more than 500 entrants, TimBar Packaging & Display's Point of Purchase division took away seven awards. Gold was awarded for the Crayola and Hasbro pallet displays, Silver for Hasbro Chuck the Truck display and four Bronze
The safety and well-being of TimBar associates is the number one operating priority. Regular training and effective communication about workplace safety is stressed to employees and staff. The company's efforts did not go unnoticed; in 2011, the Point of Purchase Division was recognized by the Fibre Box Association for its safety performance. The award is presented to corrugater plants with the fewest reported injuries or illnesses in relation o the number of hours worked for the calendar year. TimBar received the award for plants with over 150,000 hours worked.
