Update (7:43 p.m.): An 8-year-old boy who was rushed to Hershey Medical Center after an incident at the swimming pool in Codorus State Park near Hanover Saturday afternoon remained in intensive care Sunday.

His condition is "stable, but improving," according to park manager Warren Werntz. The boy was unresponsive after the incident, which occurred just before 2 p.m., Chief William Hornberger of the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said Saturday.

The pool is off Route 216 east of Hanover.
