The summer so far has been a scorcher and it's not expected to let up any time soon.

In fact, it's been the hottest year ever for the northeastern United States, according to the Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University.

But that's probably no surprise for York County residents who have been sweating through weeks of above-average temperatures - and who barely touched their snow shovels last winter.

So how can you beat the heat that's expected in the second half of summer?

York County has several options.
