NATALIE HOTALING, a journalism/communications media major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, participated in a media exercise in the ROTC Battalion for its fall training exercise at Camp Dawson, W.Va. Hotaling was one of five IUP journalism students who took part in the exercises along with 140 IUP ROTC Cadets in October. The students were incorporated into the unit as they observed and participated in numerous training events while practicing field collection of data and photography, facing the challenges that come with "being deployed with" an Army unit. The Cadets gained training in escorting and facilitating media on the battlefield. She is a 2010 graduate of Northeastern Senior High School and the daughter of Robin Hotaling of Manchester.

MEGHAN RISHEL, a 2008 graduate of Central York High School and a 2012 graduate of Ursinus College, recently earned her general practice certificate from the Duquesne University Paralegal Institute. She is employed as a case assistant for the Washington, D.C., law firm of Kirkland and Ellis LLP and is the daughter of Jeff and Erin Rishel of Manchester Township.
