STEWARTSTOWN- A Stewartstown boy and his family recently received some help from the York County Chapter of Pennsylvania Job's Daughters.
The chapter presented a check for $1,927 to Carla and James Veil and their 6-year-old son, Elliot. The money is for the purchase of a personal sound amplification system to improve Elliot's hearing.
The money was raised through Job's Daughters' annual Hike for HIKE (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) fund, a 5-mile walk over the grounds of the Masonic Villages in Elizabethtown.
What's next: The York County chapter, led by Jenny Chappell, invites teenage girls to join its charitable efforts. For details, email Chappell@aol.com.
