National Alliance on Mental Illness Pennsylvania York County is offering a free educational program for those with any serious mental illness who are interested in establishing and maintaining their wellness and recovery.

The peer-to-peer course consists of 10 two-hour sessions taught by a team of two trained mentors who have had experience living well with mental illness.

The program is 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays Feb. 19 to April 23 at the NAMI office, 140 Roosevelt Avenue., York.

Peer-to-peer uses a combination of lecture, interactive exercises and structured group processes, as well as the diverse experience of the course participants. It is essential that participants attend all 10 classes, because each session builds on the prior class.

Registration is required and class size is limited to 20 registrants. Deadline to register is Feb. 4.
