The 5th annual Golfing for Smiles Benefit Golf Outing will be held at 8 a.m. July 20, at Range End Golf Course in Dillsburg. Proceeds benefit The Four Diamonds Fund and “Miranda's Smile.” The mission of Miranda’s Smile is to bring smiles to teens fighting cancer at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families. Miranda’s Smile focuses on the unique struggles teens face during cancer treatment, different than small children or adults. Miranda’s Smile also provides special events for the Pediatric Oncology department at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The mission of the Four Diamonds Fund is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research. The Four Diamonds Fund ensures that any expense associated with the care and treatment of children with cancer at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital will not become a financial burden for the patients and their families. Any medical expense not covered by insurance or other means is paid for by the fund.
