A Multiphasic Blood Screening will be co-sponsored by Hanover Hospital and The Rotary Club, from 6 to 9 a.m. Sept. 20 and 21, at the Hanover Hospital Wellness & Education Center, 400 York St., Hanover. Registration is open now. This low-cost comprehensive multiphasic blood screening can assist your physician in the detection of health problems such as heart disease, kidney or liver disease, some forms of cancer, diabetes, muscle or bone disease, and anemia. The cost of the test is $32 and 12 hours fasting is required. The following optional screens are available for an additional charge: Thyroid screen (TSH) - $12, Prostate screen (PSA) - $18, Lung Test (Spirometry) - $10, and Glyco Hemoglobin (shows blood sugar levels for the past 2 to 3 months) - $15. Flu shots will also be available for $28. The high dose for individuals 65 years old and older will be provided for a cost of $81 which will be billed to Medicare. Bring your Medicare cards.
