During the first Foodstruck York meeting, organizers made a goal of attracting 400 people to the inaugural event in October 2013. Despite a torrential rain storm, more than four times that many people showed up.
"I feel it was a badge of honor," organizer Matt Ensminger said of those who braved the elements in October. He helped create "I survived Foodstruck" stickers.
After a successful, albeit ran-soaked, first go-around, organizers have added even more trucks and a lineup of local musicians, said Philip Given, one of seven city business owners and residents who created the event.
