I was fortunate enough to be substitute teaching while some very interesting events were taking place in two of the Red Lion Area School District's elementary schools.
First, the Bejing Dragon Show Culture and Arts Exchange performed for students at the Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School.
While at Windsor Manor Elementary School, I learned Liz Jurgen's third-grade class was caring for 25 eggs given to them by a retired teacher. This is a science project Jurgen takes on every year so her students may gain first-hand experience.

Feb. 13 and the rest -- about 17 in all -- broke through their shells on Valentine's Day. I'm told the kids loved them and were amazed by the colors, which included light yellow, dark brown, reddish tones and one with stripes.
