His top times this season are 20.79 (50 freestyle), 46.22 (100 freestyle) and 51.34 (100 butterfly).
"Gerard has continues to develop nicely," Coach Braden Holloway said. "He's farther along this year than he was at this time last year, so that bodes well for the end of the season."
The coach believes that Woody learning his identity within the team is where his biggest improvement lies.
"That and how important he is to the energy and environment of the team," Holloway said. " He just has his way of making people smile and brings out a lot of positive energy with the whole team."
