EASTERN YORK- Courtney Rhein, an Eastern York grad, wrapped up her career with the Appalachian State women's volleyball team.

The 5-foot-8 libero and defensive specialist had 559 digs on the season and finished with a school record 1,869 digs for her career. She also had 78 assists and 15 services aces for the Mountaineers who finished 7-23 overall and 3-13 in the Southern Conference.

Rhein was the only senior on the team and was honored at the team's final home game of the season.

"I am extremely proud of her for the great career she had here," Coach Matt Ginipro said. "I look forward to seeing her succeed in the next phrase of her life after graduation."

Rhein, a management major, had 599 digs as a junior, which is third best all-time in the record book. She had 532 as a sophomore, her first season as a libero.

She posted three of the top 10 single-season dig totals in Mountaineer history.
