The FAA expanded its no-fly zone around Camp David to include part of York County

We all know it was not that!Bob Lamison Jr.My granddaughter and her family live in Hanover, York County Last night and wanted to know why there were airplanes flying so low over head..She said that one had boms on it and that she was really scared.. I told her that I was watching TV 27 news and there was nothing on it... for her to call the airport or police to see if anything was going on .... Like an air show at Thomasville airport..... This morning she called and told me that it was in the paper about the 2 planes...... this close to my family is kinda scarey.. The grounding of planes that violate Camp David airspace is not unusual, as this 2002 story from the Daily Record shows. It's usually unintentional -- a pilot doesn't realize that the no-fly zone has changed, for example.

The FAA's restricted zone map shows that the no-fly zone around Camp David, site of the G8 summit this weekend, was expanded well into York County.
