Buffalo posted a 10-18 overall record and a 4-12 mark in the strong Mid-American Conference this season.
The 4-foot-11 defensive specialist played in 18 matches and 49 sets for the Bulls, who had no seniors but relied on eight juniors and three sophomores. She had 91 digs and five service aces.
"Kayla was steady and determined in practice," Coach Todd Kress said. "She continued to work on fine-tuning her technical game."
The coach believes Yingling could become a be a key performer for his squad down the road.
"With added work she will have the opportunity to earn more court time as her career progresses," Kress said.
