This in regards to the Oct. 25 column written by M.B. Whisler titled "Apartheid is alive and well in America." As we mature with age, we learn tolerance, empathy, understanding and, for some of us, wisdom. It must be said that I found Ms. Whisler's comments most offensive and bigoted in tone. To think that if one does not agree with our president, one must be a racist. Might I remind Ms. Whisler that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is president because of the white vote. To my benefit, my gracious and lovely wife has influenced my approach to different points of view by the suggestion of looking for positives. It took several reads of Ms. Whisler's column, and I did find a positive. I found it not in the column itself but at the end. Ms. Whisler is a retired teacher. DENNIS STORMS MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP
