On behalf of the Cultural Alliance of York County's Board of Directors, and its nine member agencies, I want to publicly extend our sincere appreciation to state Rep. Eugene DePasquale and state Sen. Mike Waugh for their support in rejecting the "arts performance" tax in the recent state budget negotiations.

They both recognize that a healthy arts and cultural sector creates healthy communities. York County is fortunate to have had their leadership in protecting our vital, yet fragile, cultural resources.
