Someone broke into a locked and gated area of Sovereign Bank Stadium and stole a $4,500 golf cart, police said, but the cart was later found and towed back to the stadium.

The incident was reported Thursday morning.

York City Police said whoever stole the Yamaha G22E golf cart damaged the Arch Street gates as well.

It was unclear where the cart was found or whether it was damaged.
