Red Land High School received another bomb threat on Friday that led to a lockdown.

The West Shore School District school went into lockdown mode around 9:45 a.m. after officials discovered a bomb threat written in a Red Land bathroom. Police were called in to clear the building, and students were evacuated. The school has received a few bomb threats this school year, the most recent on April 21. None have involved any injury or the discovery of a bomb.

"We still treat each one as if it is a serious threat," said Suzanne Tabachini, district spokeswoman. "That's why it's so frustrating. We're tying up a tremendous amount of resources."

The school was already scheduled to let out at 12:45 p.m. for an early dismissal, so students were released at that time.

Tabacchini said officials are investigating the threats but have not found the person or persons responsible yet. She hopes that as students grow increasingly frustrated with the disruptions, they will come forward with information.

The guilty party could face criminal charges as well as expulsion.
