A Franklin Township man is facing numerous charges after he stabbed another man in the neck with a switchblade in a parking lot early Sunday morning, police said.

Jared Reneker, 22, of the 600 block of Range End Road, got involved in a fight with another man at the Sheetz convenience store in Dillsburg and, when the victim shoved him away, Reneker pulled out a switchblade, police said. Reneker cut the left side of the victim's neck with the knife, just below the jaw.

The victim grabbed his neck to control the bleeding, which emergency medical personnel said would require stitches, and walked away, police said.

Other people at the scene restrained Reneker until police arrived, court documents state.

Reneker was charged with aggravated assault, attempted simple assault, possessing prohibited offensive weapons, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment.

He was arraigned Sunday at Central Booking and released on $100,000 bail.
