Senior forward Lisa Wingard found the net twice as the second-seeded Blazers eliminated York Suburban from the District 3 Class AA girls' soccer playoffs, 4-1, in one of the few matches played on Monday.
York Suburban, the lowest-seeded team in the Class AA bracket, played the Lancaster-Lebanon League champions to a standstill for almost 27 minutes with the help of Molly Smith's work in goal.
However, Wingard got the hosts into the scoring column with 13:06 remaining in the first half. Ally Brown's goal with 8:07 remaining gave Lancaster a 2-0 edge at halftime.
Any hopes for a Suburban comeback were blunted when Wingard scored her second goal just under four minutes into the second half. The rest of the match was a struggle for a Suburban offense held to four shots on goal.
