Update, 10:40 a.m., Wednesday

An argument between brother and sister escalated when a 16-year-old boy threw a knife at his sister, York Area Regional Police Sgt. Jeff Dunbar said today.

Dunbar said the girl suffered a "minor cut," but was not sure of her condition at an area hospital.

Update 4:50 p.m. Officer Peter Montgomery with York Area Regional Police said a 13-year-old girl had been stabbed by her 16-year-old brother at their Red Lion home this afternoon. The officer called to the scene was still dealing with the incident and more information would be available later, he said.

York Area Regional Police were called to investigate a stabbing in Red Lion shortly before 3 p.m. today, according to York County 911 reports.

The stabbing was being investigated in the first block of High Street, York County reports.
