SHREWSBURY TWP.-- According to a traffic study, a three-way stop sign at the intersection of Mount Airy Road and Buchanan Avenue in Shrewsbury Township is not the answer to speeding traffic.

Supervisors said recently that multi-stop signs at the
intersection are not warranted.

"While the observed vehicles are traveling at unsafe speeds, stop signs are not the answer. Law enforcement is the method to use," supervisor Gene Montanarelli said.

The township does not have its own police department and depends on the state police for service.
