The fifth annual Glen Rock Borough Clean the Stream and Downtown Day was May 4. Volunteers came out early to support the borough; doughnuts donated by Wetzel's Market got the crowd motivated.

Volunteers picked up trash and pulled weeds along the rail trail, pruned the shrubs along the South Codorus stream and mulch was spread in flower beds throughout the borough. The flower containers adorning Main Street were filled with annual plants, and 'Glen Rock Welcome' banners grace the borough's telephone poles.

Watershed Alliance of York President Gary Peacock donated the Dumpster.

Volunteers were treated to pizza and soft drinks compliments of Mignano's Italian Restaurant.

Those helping included Jim and Ann Merrick, Richard and Renate Shiles, Ron McCullough, Ken Krebs, Tim Groth, Sally Zimmerer, Kyle Jane, Tiffany Rice, Brenda and Tom Dymond, Emily, Tom Simmons, MaryLou Alsentzer, Chad Martin, Jacqueline Smith, Pastor Ed, Jack Humphrey, Becky and Maison Shearer, Greg Howell, Jill Lauren and Sean Lippiatt, Dorthy Brittany and Seairra Wright, Lee Hoffheins, Rollin Apgar, Mark Bortner and Bud Cadwallader and his Chevy truck.
