SUSQUEHANNOCK- Hannah Wolfe, a junior, had the most victories (four) on the Shippensburg University women's tennis team last season, the Raiders suffering through a 1-13 season.

She was 3-3 in PSAC East play competing at either No. 5 or No. 6 singles. She was 2-7 at No. 3 doubles.

Now the Susquehannock High graduate opened the spring season by winning her doubles match but dropping her singles match (2-6, 6-4, 4-6) in a 5-4 setback to Shenandoah earlier this month.

"Hannah is one of the happiest people I have ever met," Shippensburg Coach Amanda Fenn said. "She embraces life and has such a free spirit about her. She never fails to make her teammates laugh and feel better about themselves.

"On the court, we can always count on her to have long, steady matches. She is such a steady player that her tempo is hard to break.

"This causes some suspenseful matches, yet win or lose, Hannah always maintains a positive attitude and gives it her all."
