Summer plans in the West York Area School District include renovations to the high school gym. A new cooler will be installed so that the gym and lobby have their own cooler units. This is a cost-saving effort of the district and is expected to pay for itself in three years, officials said.

The main gym doors are also going to be replaced. The total cost of these renovations, which are budgeted items from the 2011-2012 budget, is approximately $100,000.
