WEST YORK- Freshman Katelyn Ort, a West York grad, has made most of the limited playing time she has garnered this season with the Millersville women's volleyball team.

The 5-foot-10 outside hitter has played in 16 matches and 38 sets and has 61 kills, 22 digs and eight blocks.

She had 10 kills and five digs in a 3-2 victory over Mount Olive and eight kills in a 3-2 triumph over Kutztown.

"Katelyn has had less opportunity to contribute which is a normal progression for a college freshman," coach Brian Smith said. "But she has shown promise when given opportunities to play.

"Katelyn continues to push hard in practices and with the outside hitting struggles of our young team will continue to have opportunities to see playing time and develop."

The Marauders are currently 13-16 overall and 6-11 in the PSAC East but the team has clinched a spot in the league playoffs.
