WEST YORK- Junior Toni Sanders, a West York graduate, is having another solid season playing with the Rensselaer Poly women's hockey team.

Sanders has played in all 18 games for the Engineers and has two goals and three assists for five points. She entered the season with 10 goals and five assists. At West York, she was captain and leading scorer on the boys' team as a senior.

"Toni has matured as a player greatly in her three years with RPI and is off to a good start this season," Coach John Burke said. "The Division I women's college game is a lot tighter defensively than where she played before and she has adapted her game and found a way to make an impact with her speed and high skill level. She is always an offensive threat every time she touches the puck."

The coach is impressed at her work ethic and dedication to improving her game.

"We are excited for the potential Tony can still reach this season and as a senior next season," Burke said.
