The York City School Board voted Monday to providing "grab and go" breakfasts to students in kindergarten to eighth grade at no charge.

Students in sixth through eighth grade will receive breakfast in their classrooms, while younger students will eat in the cafeteria. The breakfasts will be funded by the food service department.

Supt. Deborah Wortham has said the "grab and go" breakfasts will resolve parent concerns about older students mixing with the younger ones in the cafeteria in the new K-8 schools.
