The advisory committee looking at the York City School District's future is looking for big ideas.

The advisory committee is seeking "high impact" ideas that address all of these areas: sound, effective education; a safe and healthy learning environment; and creating sustainable finances, according to David Meckley, the district's chief recovery officer. He is tasked by the state with crafting a recovery plan for the district.

The advisory committee will be reviewing a list of ideas at its meeting Feb. 28. A public forum is also scheduled for 6 p.m. March 14 at Martin Library. Ideas can be sent to Meckley at croyork@outlook.com or by mail to 31 N. Pershing Ave., York, PA 17401.
